From April 1, 2024, VAT rates on basic food products increased from 0% to 5%, including meat, fish, eggs, vegetables, fruits, and others. For some cosmetic services, VAT rates have been reduced from 23% to 8%.

From April 1, 2024, VAT on some food products will be 5% instead of 0%, such as:

• meat and fish and products made from them,
• milk and dairy products,
• eggs,
• natural honey,
• nuts,
• vegetables and fruits and canned food from them,
• edible animal and vegetable fats,
• cereals and grain products, including bread and confectionery,
• as well as some formulas and milk for newborns and children and dietary foods for special medical purposes.

The change in the tax rate is a return to the previously existing rate, which was reduced as an anti-inflationary measure.

From April 1, 2024, VAT rates have been reduced from 23% to 8% on some cosmetic services such as cosmetic procedures and facials, manicures and pedicures, eyebrow and eyelash styling and others.
